Hi!

I am a PhD candidate in Economics at the University of Lucerne, working under the supervision of Manuel Oechslin. My research sits at the intersection of development economics and economic history, with a strong empirical orientation. I study how economies highly dependent on natural resources adjust to major shocks and institutional reforms, focusing on structural transformation, local welfare, and the governance of shared resources. 

I am currently a Visiting Research Student at the London School of Economics (LSE), hosted by Joan Rosés. I will subsequently visit the Department of Spatial Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam from September 2027 to February 2028, hosted by Steven Poelhekke. 

I also hold a B.Sc. in Economics from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) and an M.Sc. in Economic Development and Growth from UC3M and Lund University. I also completed the Swiss Program for Beginning Doctoral Students in Economics  at the Study Center Gerzensee (2023/2024 cohort).
